I got a second piece of writing featured on DailyPrompt.com! Woo hoo!

It is nice when you get a piece of prose or poetry featured on any site let alone a site for writers. So I was excited when I had a my second piece featured on DailyPrompt.com. The biggest reason I am excited is because getting featured means that a fair amount of people have read the piece. In this case, I have had around thirty people read it and liked it so far. Which is pretty cool. (I am not sure that 30 people have read very many of my writings, much less liked them.)

At any rate.

I guess I am just excited that people have liked my writing. So I decided that I would post it here on my blog next week. I was going to post it this week, but I decided that I needed to give a bit of explanation about the piece.

The piece that was featured (Did I mention that it is my second featured piece?) is a fictional poem. I repeat. It is a fictional poem. The reason that I must emphasize this is twofold. One, I have often written poems of grief as part of my grieving process, but this is not one of them. And two, I am not grieving anybody right now.

Well, if that is not enough to entice you to read it, I am not sure that anything would. But now that I have prefaced the poem, I suppose that I ought to let you read it. So I guess I am changing my mind. This week, I will release two blog posts. This one and my poem. (Did I mention that it was featured on DailyPrompt.com?)

Well, that is about all I needed to say to preface the poem. I guess when it comes right down to it, I did not want to get condolences about something that has not happened to me. Which is why I had to explain my poem, Your Face in a Cloud. I hope you enjoy it.

(Did I mention that my poem was featured on DailyPrompt.com? Or that it is my second piece featured there?)
