My Latest Book – Accidental Justice · 5 September 2026

I released my latest book on August 31, 2026. Accidental Justice.

Accidental Justice is my latest book. It is a Daniel Miyoshi book. If you have not read any of my fiction (not many have), Daniel Miyoshi is my dad’s fictional twin. I am not sure why I did that except that I wanted to tell stories from my real family from a fictional perspective. (My Autobiography of a Sixth Grader series is like that too.)

At any rate.

Accidental Justice is a fictional book where my main character and his friends must decide whether a senator was murdered or was killed on accident. When I originally wrote the book, I had a specific ending in mind. I knew exactly what happened. Which is how I write most of my fiction. I start with characters and a situation. I know the beginning and the ending and write what happens in between. I am not sure why I write that way, but it is how I write fiction. And it is fun. Even when the ending ends up being different than I had planned. Which happens every once in a while. It is as if the characters take on a life of their own and exercise free will. I am actually amazed when it happens. Amazed and surprised.

Now, I need to tell you something else about my book. There is at least one other book out there with the same title. I actually looked before I named the book and there was a non-fiction book of law or something. I figured that was okay. But when I went to add my book to my Amazon author page, I saw that there was another book out there with the same name. I had no idea. I do not remember who the author of the other book is, but I was a bit deflated. I thought I had come up with the perfect title that nobody else had used and it turned out that somebody else had a book with that name already.

Ah well.

I do not want to give away any more of the book than I already have. I just wanted to mention that I have another book out there jamming up the internet. And I have this blog post with links going to my book, which according to Amazon, I am supposed to label as ads. I suppose that this whole promotion is an ad when it comes right down to it.

If you have read any of my books, you will find that this one is a quick read as well. I suppose that my books are really novella length. Not really long enough to be novels. Certainly not long enough to be epics or sagas. (Even though I might like to write one of those one day.) Someday. I wonder if someday ever comes. Maybe I will get to the point where I can write a book longer than I have so far. We shall see. After all, much to the chagrin of my current readers, I am still writing. And much to my own amazement, I am still writing even though not that many are reading.

I hope that you check out my latest book. I know that this was another glowing endorsement of my own wares, but that is just the way I am. I am not so proud as to brag and I am not so humble as to keep it all under wraps. And I know at least one reader of Accidental Justice who has already read it three times. (Thank you Uncle Don.) I hope you are brave enough to read it at least one time.

Accidental Justice. Now available on Amazon (print and digital). Check it out.
